“INDIA-SCOPED READING (ordinary Indian passport; tourism / Standard Visitor): India is listed under VN 1.1(a). Nationals or citizens of India need a visa to enter the UK in advance of travel for any purpose, including tourism as a Standard Visitor, unless an exception in VN 2.1–VN 2.2 applies. Ordinary leisure tourism from India does not meet those listed exceptions.”
GOV.UK also describes applying online for a Standard Visitor visa, attending a visa application centre appointment for biometrics, fees in pounds sterling (with longer-term 2-, 5-, and 10-year options), and a usual decision within 3 weeks. Those fee, processing, appointment, and multi-duration details are not published as simple India-wide answers yet.
