Application fee vs traveller cost
One number on the page is the reviewed government (or portal) fee. Another summary may combine mandatory official charges — without pretending to know your total outlay.
Application fee
- The reviewed government or portal fee: amount, currency, and often entry type (for example single-entry).
- Published only after a human checks an official fee schedule or equivalent source.
- If the source says “about” or mixes several products, we may leave the field Unknown rather than invent a clean number.
Traveller cost
- A summary of mandatory official charges when sources support them (for example a required verification step), separate from the government fee line.
- Prefer labels like Expected mandatory charges over “what you’ll actually pay.”
- Excludes optional premiums, courier, FX spreads, and unstated extras.
